Elkins Constructors, Inc. Breaks Ground on Bailey Science Center Expansion at Valdosta State University

(August 9, 2011) VALDOSTA, GA – Elkins Constructors, Inc.’s Georgia office has been selected to provide Construction Management at Risk services for the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and Valdosta State University for a science center addition on the campus.

The $3.15 Million addition will be two stories and occupy 15,000 SF. The building will have classrooms, labs, and offices and should be completed by June 2012. The architect is Stanley Beaman & Sears, Inc. of Atlanta.

This is Elkins’ second project for the BOR and VSU. The company just completed a $5.6 million Psychology Building for the University.
